Secure Smile

Same Day Permanent Teeth

Secure Dentures and Implants patient during denture consultation.

If you have multiple teeth missing, a Secure Smile or Full Arch may be just what you need.

A series of 4-to-6 dental implants create and restore a full-arch of missing teeth. Once these implants are placed and allowed to heal, your Secure dentist will create interim teeth to securely clip onto the implants.

The result: a set of replacement teeth that look natural and feel original.

Our Secure Smile full arch implants provide an excellent solution to replacing an entire arch of missing teeth. The procedure is quick — and, unlike traditional dentures, the Secure Smile will never shift or move, or need removal at night. Besides their natural look and feel — the Secure Smile will strengthen and protect your jawbone, preventing bone resorption after tooth loss.

The Implant Procedure

The Secure Smile full arch dental implant is a quick procedure, requiring only a couple of hours per arch. After extracting any remaining natural teeth, the mouth is cleaned and numbed; then a series of 4-6 implants is placed in each arch of your mouth.

Our on-site lab begins work on your new interim teeth, and your dentist attaches a set of interim teeth to your new implants.

How Long Is Recovery?

After a Secure Smile full arch dental implant procedure, it’s important to remember the recovery time needed. Initial healing will take a few weeks — and it takes all of 6 to 8 months for your implants to permanently bond with your jawbone and fully heal.

Special precautions are needed throughout this time when chewing with your interim teeth to avoid damaging your implants. It will take time to adjust to eating and speaking with your new replacement teeth. Getting used to such a large apparatus in your mouth will take some getting used to, as well.

Throughout the recovery and healing process, you’ll see your Secure dentist for follow-ups and check-ups. As you get used to your new interim teeth, our Secure lab will be creating your permanent bridge. After your mouth has fully healed, your permanent bridge will be attached – permanently.

Five Benefits of Secure Smile Full Arch Dental Implants

Dental implants are an advantageous option because, in just a day, you can SECURE the quality of your whole life. This affordable solution is actually stronger than natural teeth – and typically serve you for 15 years or more.

  • SECURE your youthful appearance! A healthier jawline makes for a stronger facial profile, giving a healthier looking and younger appearance.
  • Enjoy eating again! Your new dentures will now be attached directly to the jawbone — acting like roots of the tooth. They’re SECURE and stable — and make biting and chewing food enjoyable again. Like your original teeth used to feel like, you’ll no longer need to worry about them slipping out while you eat.
  • Be SECURE and Self-Confident. With a fuller, brighter, and more natural looking smile, you’ll not need to be worried about them falling out during conversations – restoring self-assurance and confidence.
  • Bone Health. Full dental implants connect to the jawbone like natural teeth, preventing bone loss and promoting bone growth.
  • No adhesives needed. Unlike regular dentures, dental implants do not require adhesives; a welcome relief to many.

Is Everyone Eligible for Dental Implants?

Secure Smile full arch dental implants are unsuitable for placement in a few areas, including the molar region or areas with relatively high bone density. Since the implants are placed in the anterior jawbone, bone resorptions in the posterior region can occur as the implants don’t stabilize the jawbone’s rear section. Replacement services are needed for some because of the mold’s specificity. To ensure you make an informed decision for this surgery, talk to your Secure dentist about your eligibility for treatment.

Caring for Your New Teeth

New implants, dentures and bridges take time to get used to. You can ensure the health and longevity of your teeth and the condition of your implants with professional cleaning, repairs or maintenance every six months.

You’ll wear your interim teeth for about four months while your implants integrate with the jawbone. Once your jaw, gums and mouth has healed, your final bridge is attached, and your new replacement teeth are fitted.

FAQs about Secure Smile Full Arch Implants

Am I too young for this procedure?

No, this is not just a procedure for the elderly. It’s actually quite common for people in their 40s, 30s, even 20s to replace their teeth. Replacing bad teeth can be hugely beneficial to your overall physical health, and being able to smile, laugh, and converse confidently with teeth you’re proud of can be hugely beneficial to your emotional health. Again, needing to replace teeth early in life is not uncommon at all.

How long after my procedure should I wait to use a water flosser/waterpik?

Patients should wait 6 weeks after their procedure before they begin cleaning with a water flosser.

Can implants fail?

While titanium dental implants do have a 95+% success rate, yes, they can still fail. Some of the things that can cause them to fail:

  • failure to integrate into the bone
  • smoking
  • diabetes

If an implant fails within the first year, your dentist will replace it at no charge to you.

Do you offer warranties or guarantees for Secure Smile full arch implants?

We warranty the final bridge for 7 years. If a dental implant fails to integrate we will replace it at no cost. To keep this warranty, our patients must return every 6 months for maintenance and hygiene of their bridges/implants. The warranty does not apply to patients that continue to smoke or have uncontrolled diabetes or develop other uncontrolled systemic conditions that compromise their implants.
